BIM Manager - WSP - Distans - Globalt

Are you interested in the role of BIM Manager in rail projects, combining building information modeling, data management, and practical coordination? In this role, you will ensure common practices and advance model-based work. You will be supported by the entire rail traffic expert community and specialists from different technical fields, which facilitates coordination and smooths daily work. The work is done with a flat hierarchy and an open atmosphere: issues are discussed openly, help is available, and solutions are built together with a relaxed but professional approach. This is reflected in practical sparring and smooth collaboration across projects and technical disciplines. Your tasks include setting modeling practices and requirements (BEP/TMP), ensuring implementation, quality assurance of models, coordinating technical models, maintaining combined models, ensuring data transfers, coordinating model deliveries, supporting handovers, collaborating closely with clients and stakeholders, developing modeling and data management practices, and leading projects. Success in this role requires managing overall concepts, completing tasks, and motivating people to follow shared practices. You will be part of a community of about 150 rail traffic experts in Finland, influencing projects and development. The team works in multidisciplinary project teams, collaborating closely with project managers and responsible designers. Our projects vary from large, nationally significant rail projects to smaller, technically demanding tasks. We participate in major Finnish rail projects and international projects such as the Turku harbor rail, Digirata, Espoo city rail, and Rail Baltica. International demand for our expertise is high, supported by a global network of experts. A suitable background includes a relevant university degree (e.g., construction/infrastructure engineering, traffic or urban planning, surveying, geotechnics) or equivalent experience, several years of experience as a BIM Manager or data model coordinator, ability to facilitate and guide experts, understanding of modeling requirements and guidelines, experience with data management and CDE environments (e.g., ACC), proficiency with Civil 3D, ACC, Navisworks, or Solibri, and fluent Finnish and English skills.
