We are seeking a personal school counselor for Solbrinkens School for a fixed-term employment from 10.8.2026 to 5.6.2027. 21 hours/week with potential for additional hours. Solbrinkens School (grades 1-6) is a cozy, energetic, and smaller unit where daily operations run smoothly. The school has combined classes with a focus on students' best interests. It is located in Laurentius House in central Lohja, with good opportunities to move around in the surrounding area. You will work as a personal counselor for a student, primarily supporting the child to ensure a safe and independent school day. Your tasks include: Supporting a student with specific challenges and collaborating with school staff and guardians to ensure a safe and functional school experience. Supervising the student while waiting for school transportation before and after school. Depending on the task, you will collaborate daily with the class teacher, special education teacher, and other staff. You will receive an introduction to your duties. Our school counselors meet regularly and work closely with other staff. In addition, experience-based supplements of up to 8 percent are paid if conditions are met. A probation period of half the employment duration applies. The employer will specify situations where the appointee must submit a health certificate from Keski-Uudenmaan Työterveys Oy’s unit in Lohja within one month of starting employment. Additionally, a criminal record extract according to law (504/2002) must be presented. Interviews will be held immediately after the application deadline.
