Your tasks Puolukkatie Special Children's Home provides long-term care, upbringing, and rehabilitation for children and young people aged 9-17 placed in foster care. As a nurse, you are responsible for their comprehensive care, upbringing, and supervision during the night. Your work is guided by dialectical and cognitive behavioral therapy (DKT and KKT), which support children's and young people's interaction, emotional regulation, and awareness skills. You work together with a skilled, warm, and multidisciplinary team—supported by guides, a nurse, a responsible guide, and a nurse. Our approach is caring and rehabilitative, and we consider each child's individual needs. Multidisciplinary collaboration is a key part of your work, and you operate independently in various nighttime situations. Your duties also include administering medication. This is night work. Additional qualifications such as AVEKKI, family assessment, DKT, neurodiversity, trauma expertise, and experience in child protection are considered advantages. The minimum qualification is a professional degree in social and health care (practical nurse) or an earlier school-level qualification in the field, along with a valid registration in JulkiTerhikki and JulkiSuosikki registers.
