The Pohjois-Savo welfare area is seeking a Financial and Information Leader to join the top management in a permanent position from 1 January 2027. The role combines finance, data governance and digitalisation to support decision-making, health and social services reform, and sustainable budgeting for the future. The holder will lead the welfare region’s financial strategy, planning, funding management, investment preparation, group governance and the development of information governance, analytics and digitalisation to enable reliable decision-making and high-quality services. You will be a member of the management team and actively participate in strategic leadership and organisational renewal. The ideal candidate has a suitable higher university degree, adequate leadership training and experience, and familiarity with the sector. The job requires strong strategic financial leadership, experience in financial planning, monitoring and reporting, the ability to lead large and multi-faceted entities in a changing environment, and excellence in collaboration, communication and networking. Proficiency in Finnish and English is required, with satisfactory Swedish language skills. We value experience in leading the finances of a welfare region, a municipal group or another large organisation, and experience in finance, investment and corporate governance tasks. The position is located in Kuopio with partial hybrid work possible. Working hours are full-time. Salary is a total package of 11,933.70 EUR per month. The appointment is subject to a six-month probationary period, a health certificate requirement, and security screening.
