A fixed-term position for a SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHER in basic education is available at Rajakylä School from 27.8.2026 to 4.6.2027. Rajakylä School is a comprehensive school with over 600 students in northern Oulu. Our school’s culture is community-oriented, with a focus on the well-being of both staff and students. Internationality and STEAM pedagogy are prominent in our activities. We are active in developing teaching and participate in various collaboration networks. The role focuses on grades 1-3 in primary school. The broad-based special education teacher role emphasizes group support as well as consultative and developmental work. Qualifications are determined according to the decree on the qualifications of education personnel 986/1998. Original degree certificates demonstrating qualifications must be presented during the interview. Support planning is done in collaboration with teaching teams. We require good cooperation and teamwork skills, as well as familiarity with and the ability to apply support reforms in practice. A consultative and development-oriented work approach is considered an advantage. Salary is determined according to the municipal collective agreement for the education sector. The selected candidate must, before confirmation of appointment, and no later than 30 days after receiving the decision, present a criminal background check issued under law 504/2002, section 3, for working with children.
