Guide for reindeer farm - Kujalan Porotila Oy - Kuusamo, Finland

We are hiring guides for our reindeer farm. Your duties include customer service and guiding visitors in English and Finnish, as well as daily care of the reindeer, such as feeding and monitoring. You will lead visitors on safaris and farm tours, as well as share information about reindeer life and the farm's history. You may also train reindeer and perform maintenance tasks on the farm. Experience in similar roles or a background in reindeer husbandry is appreciated but not required. Training will be provided at the start of the season, and you will learn everything needed for the job. You will work as part of a team of experienced guides and reindeer enthusiasts. As a person, you should be diligent, proactive, responsible, and language-skilled. You should be interested in developing your skills and learning new things. Strong spoken English, good interaction and problem-solving skills, and teamwork ability are required. The work is mainly outdoors, so good physical condition and resilience to Arctic conditions are important. An authentic, cheerful attitude and good physical fitness are beneficial. Fluent communication in Finnish and English, with the ability to work with people and animals. Good physical condition. Strong interaction, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. Self-directed work approach. Authenticity and openness. Valid first aid (EA1), B-class driver’s license, and hygiene passport.
