Kirstin Daycare has seven children groups in the upcoming season, two of which are pre-primary groups. You will have the opportunity to implement the LVEo:n model alongside an experienced special education teacher. The groups are supported by a language and culture teacher and a project sectionist part-time during the month. The unit is multicultural, and language learning and support for Finnish are daily themes. The Espoo early childhood education plan and the national early childhood education plan guide all our activities daily. The work of a special education teacher in early childhood education is diverse and inspiring. Together with other educational staff, you will plan, implement, evaluate, and develop early childhood education pedagogy for children requiring support in the units. The aim is to support children's participation in group activities, foster success experiences, and enable inclusion within the group. Observation, documentation, and continuous assessment and development of activities are integral parts of the work. As a special education teacher, you are responsible for the pedagogical implementation within your team, working with other professionals. You will also serve as a team leader and pedagogical partner to the early childhood education unit manager, and you will have the opportunity to apply your professional expertise with the entire community. If Finnish is your second language, you will have the opportunity to participate in free Finnish language training during working hours to support your work – early childhood vocabulary will soon become familiar. Qualifications: Qualification according to the Finnish Act on Early Childhood Education (540/2018) Qualification as an early childhood education teacher. Additionally, completed studies providing professional skills for special education tasks. or Master of Education with a major in special pedagogy (early childhood special education teacher training). Applicants who are about to graduate in early childhood education special education are also considered. The selected candidate must present a criminal record extract as specified in the Criminal Records Act, section 6.2. The Infectious Diseases Act requires those working with preschool children to clarify the risk of tuberculosis transmission.
