HSESQ-specialist - Taminco Finland Oy - Uleåborg, Finland

We are looking for an HSESQ Specialist at Eastman (Taminco Finland Oy) in Oulu. As an HSESQ Specialist, you will be a key part of our organization: responsible for maintaining and developing occupational health, safety, environmental, site security, and quality management systems (HSESQ). The role emphasizes occupational health, safety, and site security tasks and their development. In your role, you will plan and implement procedures to ensure our operations meet standards, legal requirements, and corporate guidelines. You will play a crucial role in continuously developing our safety culture, with the goal of zero workplace accidents. Your main responsibilities include: - Contributing to the maintenance and continuous improvement of ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 systems - Coordinating HSESQ training and ensuring Eastman’s practices are implemented throughout the organization, including with partners and contractors - Promoting a zero-accident culture through regular safety rounds, audits, and safety discussions with staff - Conducting risk assessments and root cause analyses, participating in regulatory inspections, and developing process safety - Managing safety instructions, ensuring their development and up-to-dateness - Developing regional emergency preparedness, maintaining stakeholder relationships, and reporting on HSESQ activities - Acting as the primary user of the safety observation system and managing safety notices and chemical inventories We expect you to have: - A lower or higher university degree, for example in chemistry, process engineering, or a related field - Experience in the chemical industry, handling chemicals, and industrial processes - Proven success in occupational health, safety, and site security tasks - Experience with industrial standards, systems, and best practices - Ability to plan and implement safety practices effectively and strengthen a shared safety culture - Fluent spoken and written skills in Finnish and English As a person, you are: - Proactive and capable of solving complex challenges independently - Positive attitude that encourages others, with good communication skills with various stakeholders - Comfortable working as part of a team and adaptable to changing situations - Committed to Eastman’s uncompromising safety standards and acts as a role model We offer a responsible and diverse role in an international company where you can influence safety development.
