We are now looking for a DATA ENGINEER / SENIOR DATA ENGINEER to work on our Data and Platform Engineering team in Vantaa, Finland. Working as a Data Engineer, your job is to help Finnair’s customer, commercial, and operational domains to utilize their data in a reliable, secure, and flexible manner. You would be developing the Data Integrations, Pipelines, Models, Documentation, and Solutions Architecture of Finnair’s business domain data. You will also work together with other data engineers on shared conventions and tools between data domains. Your work will help Finnair leverage its domain-specific data in a standardized and secure manner. You will learn the different aspects of our customer, commercial, and operational landscape. You will use your technical expertise and work together with our data analysts, data scientists, business teams, and stakeholders to create data standards, processes, and tools that take Finnair’s understanding and utilization of data by both people and AI to the next level. From you, we wish: Solid experience in data engineering or data platform development. Technical mindset and engineering approach Interest in airline Industry. Excellent communication skills and positive mindset to work in a social, friendly and international team. Fluency in English, both written and spoken. Previous experience in at least some of our stack (see below).
