SVP/VP, Robotics, Mobility & Defense Business Unit - Canatu Oyj - Vanda, Finland

Canatu is looking for a business leader to build and scale our Robotics, Mobility & Defense Business Unit. This is not a traditional leadership role. This is an opportunity to create a growth engine for one of the world's most advanced carbon nanotube technology companies. As Canatu enters its next phase of growth, we are strengthening our business-unit-led operating model. We are now looking for an ambitious and commercially driven SVP/VP, Robotics, Mobility & Defense to lead and grow a strategically important business area with global potential. This is a unique opportunity to build a business at the intersection of breakthrough technology, industrial scale-up and demanding customer applications. Your role As SVP, Robotics, Mobility & Defense Business Unit, you will have full responsibility for the Business Unit's performance, growth and execution. You will define the direction, build the organisation and drive the commercial success of the business. You will work closely with customers, partners and Canatu's technology and operations teams to turn promising opportunities into successful products and long-term business. This role requires both strategic vision and hands-on leadership. You are equally comfortable discussing future market opportunities with customers, making portfolio and investment decisions, and driving disciplined execution across the organisation. Most importantly, you are excited about building something new. What you will be responsible for· Leading the Business Unit with full P&L responsibility· Defining and executing the Business Unit strategy and product roadmap· Building a high-performing organisation with a strong culture of accountability, collaboration and execution with a strong people-oriented leadership approach· Driving productisation and industrialisation of technologies and solutions· Creating strong customer relationships and developing new business opportunities globally· Translating customer needs into commercially successful products and offerings· Prioritising investments, resources and business opportunities to maximise long-term value creation· Driving operational excellence, accountability and execution discipline across the organisation· Contributing to Canatu's company-wide leadership and strategic development as a member of the Corporate Leadership TeamWhat we are looking forYou are a business builder with a strong industrial mindset and a passion for customer value creation.You have experience in leading technology or industrial businesses where growth, commercial success and operational execution must go hand in hand.We would especially value:· Strong track record in industrial, automotive, mobility, robotics, defense or other advanced technology sectors· Proven (min 5 years) leadership experience from product management or product marketing in a scale-up or start-up environment· Experience in scaling products and businesses from emerging opportunities to sustainable growth· Strong customer engagement and business development capabilities· Experience and cultural understanding of US and Asian markets· Ability to build organisations, culture and leadership teams· Strategic thinking combined with a strong bias for action· Experience working in international and growth-oriented environments· Fluent in EnglishWhy join Canatu?At Canatu, you will have the opportunity to shape the future of technologies that matter.You will work with world-class experts, cutting-edge technology and globally leading customers.
