Special Education Teacher, Hyttikallion School - Haapaveden kaupunki - Haapavesi, Finland

The Education Department of the City of Haapavesi has an open position for a special education teacher at Hyttikallion School from August 10, 2026, to July 31, 2027. We value familiarity and experience with the obligations, values, and learning concepts guiding the implementation of the new curriculum, as well as its objectives and content. Additionally, we require and appreciate familiarity with the changed grounds for learning support. We also consider teamwork skills, proficiency in diverse working methods, and the ability to guide students towards broad competence important, along with familiarity with inclusion and co-teaching. Experience and knowledge of information and communication technology management and versatile ICT-based teaching according to the curriculum's ICT strategy are considered an advantage. Qualifications are determined according to the decree on the qualifications of education personnel (986/1998). The selected candidate must submit a medical certificate of health and a criminal record extract as per law 504/2002 within 30 days of the decision. The probation period is 4 months.
