Are you interested in being involved in railway projects that directly influence urban development and mobility? As a railway design expert, you will advance planning and implementation together with an experienced community of specialists. The role can be shaped according to your skills and interests, either as a designer or a more experienced responsible designer. Your work combines impact and practical execution: helping to build functional, sustainable rail traffic and influencing decisions throughout the project lifecycle. Our railway technology disciplines are under one roof, making coordination and development smooth. What you will do: You will design your own entity independently but with support from experienced railway specialists and low-threshold coaching across projects, offices, and technical fields. Tasks may include calculating track geometry, designing superstructure and substructure, drainage planning, modeling, producing plan documents, and coordinating plans across different technical disciplines. You will prepare track and construction plans and develop solutions with experts from various fields. As a responsible designer, you will lead your own design entity and ensure its technical and financial success. You may also take responsibility for mentoring, quality assurance, or development of our design processes. What we expect from you: A suitable university degree (e.g., civil engineering or AMK engineer) Previous experience in railway projects Ability to understand and lead large entities Solution-oriented and customer-focused working style Good written and spoken Finnish skills Skills in Tekla Civil/Novapoint, AutoCAD.
