Ylivieska has nine elementary schools, one combined school, and one middle school. Kaisaniemi Middle School teaches grades 7-9. The Taanila Combined School teaches grades 0-9. Approximately 700 students attend middle school in Ylivieska. As a substitute, you can specify your preferred school. Longer-term substitutes are also recruited through separate applications, so please follow the open job postings by Ylivieska City. Applicants are responsible for updating their application and availability information in the register. Keeping contact and availability details current is a prerequisite for being offered substitutes. Qualifications are determined according to the Decree on Qualifications for Teaching Staff (986/98). Applicants without formal qualifications will also be considered. A criminal record extract as per section 6, subsection 2 of the Criminal Records Act must be presented if the total duration of substitutes exceeds three months within a year.
