The Education and Training Department of the City of Kerava is advertising a permanent position for a School Attendance Supervisor (85%) starting from August 7, 2024. The work location at the start of employment is Killan School. Killan School is a primary school for grades 1-6 with approximately 200 students. The school has three special education classes, eight general education classes, and a preparatory education class. It is easily accessible by public transport and is situated in a peaceful, natural area with good outdoor activities. You will work as a school attendance supervisor in Killan School, either in the special education class or in general education classes, as a teaching partner. Your duties also include working in the afternoon club together with other supervisors. You are an enthusiastic team player who adapts well to changing situations. You possess diverse working methods, can adjust your actions according to children's needs, and act consistently in various situations. You have a positive attitude, good interaction skills, and the ability to collaborate in a multidisciplinary team. Experience in school attendance supervision, functional working methods, and enthusiasm for utilizing the local environment's nature, e.g., in afternoon activities, as well as a developmental approach, are considered advantages. In Kerava, school attendance supervisors have a fixed working hours, with an 85% salary. The weekly working hours are planned to be approximately 32 hours/week/year. During school opening hours, the weekly hours are about 38 hours/week, and during school holidays, the time is compensated with annual leave and/or flexible working time. The position is subject to a six-month probation period.
