We are now looking for 1-3 construction site managers for permanent employment in the city infrastructure construction department. Come and take care of our city! As a construction site manager (green/street infrastructure projects), you are responsible for the comprehensive execution of infrastructure construction projects from start-up to warranty inspections. You participate in project bidding and other technically demanding tasks. You are responsible for customer and stakeholder cooperation for your projects. Your supervisor is a construction manager, and you will lead 4-12 workers and also guide site managers on projects. You are also responsible for subcontractors' activities on sites, as well as directing and supervising work. As a construction site manager, you are the contact person for many stakeholders. You must have a suitable lower university degree or equivalent knowledge (e.g., construction foreman, civil engineer, horticulturist, or similar). You have sufficient experience in managing infrastructure construction projects, generally at least 5 years, and have acted as a legally responsible site supervisor. You must understand general technical and municipal regulations and instructions related to your projects, project-specific technical and commercial documents, legislation, and other applicable regulations and instructions. We require strong financial and IT skills, e.g., in cost tracking, change and additional sales, scheduling, resourcing, budgeting, forecasting, etc. You manage large-scale projects remotely and not directly from the site. You are development-oriented and proactive. You have good organizational, communication, and collaboration skills, are goal-oriented, and have expertise in infrastructure construction and financial matters. You work smoothly with various systems and have leadership skills. You need good cooperation and communication skills in various situations with clients, inspection consultants, designers, residents, staff, subcontractors, and other stakeholders. You must have cooperation skills in a multi-actor environment (YKT sites). You will receive support from the organization in case of problems or conflicts. Besides substantive knowledge, good cooperation and communication skills, digital skills, and the ability to adopt new systems and financial skills, especially forecasting and cost monitoring, are emphasized. The role requires a change-positive and development-seeking attitude, good self-management, prioritization, and the ability to manage project schedules and foresee procurement and project progress. The salary consists of a task-specific salary of €3789.53/month + €216.72/month (supervisor's additional pay) + other possible allowances.
