Your tasks The duties include specialist medical tasks in gastrointestinal surgery, with an emphasis on pelvic floor surgery, proctology, and colorectal surgery. The successful candidate is expected to have in-depth expertise in the care of ODS patients; familiarity with SNM treatment is considered an advantage. The work also involves general gastrosurgical PÄIKI surgery and gastro-surgical on-call duties covering the entire abdominal area. The primary workplace is at Tyks Main Hospital, but there is also activity in nearby hospitals. What we offer you We offer a diverse specialist doctor position at Tyks Abdominal Center. You will work in a university hospital where clinical work, service development, and research are interconnected. The position provides an opportunity to actively participate in the development of the service area. What we expect from you Successful management of the position requires excellent teamwork skills and the ability to work in a group. The Tyks gastrointestinal surgery service area actively develops its operations, and the successful candidate is expected to take an active role in developing their own work. Research activity is considered an advantage. The qualification requirement for the position is a license to practice medicine issued under the Act on Healthcare Professionals 559/94 or a permit to work as a doctor, and specialist qualification in a relevant medical field. Language skills required are good oral and written Finnish and satisfactory oral and written Swedish. The selected candidate must provide an acceptable health statement before taking up the position.
