The Eastern Uusimaa Welfare Area is seeking an enthusiastic and development-oriented REGISTERED NURSE or HEALTH CARE PROFESSIONAL with a passion for mental health and substance abuse work. This is a permanent position starting on June 1, 2026, or as agreed. Initially, the role involves centralized client guidance and remote consultations for adult mental health and substance abuse services. Responsibilities include providing guidance, advice, and assessment of care needs via chat (HyVä-Digi) and telephone, as well as client work and the utilization and development of digital services. The aim of centralized client guidance is to increase accessibility, equality, and quality of services. You will work closely with the mental health and substance abuse teams within the Eastern Uusimaa Welfare Area. The work is independent and requires excellent interaction and customer service skills. Previous experience in telephone-based care needs assessment, mental health, and substance abuse work, as well as familiarity with the "Therapies at the Front Line" model, is considered an advantage. Qualifications include a degree as a nurse or health care professional, with a license under the Act on Health Care Professionals (559/1994) (JulkiTerhikki). Good oral and written skills in both national languages are also required. Employment terms are governed by the Social and Health Care Sector Collective Agreement (SOTE), with a six-month probation period. The salary for this position is €3,126.25 per month. The role requires vaccination protection as per Section 48 of the Infectious Diseases Act and tuberculosis screening as per Section 55. The appointment is conditional until the selected candidate provides a health assessment from occupational health within one month of starting work.
