We are seeking a fixed-term early childhood educator for Eestinmetsän Daycare. Eestinmetsän Daycare is currently undergoing an expansion renovation, and according to the latest information, we will be able to move back into the renovated premises in August 2026. We are currently in temporary facilities, and our daycare operates four groups. In August 2026, additional groups will be added once the expansion is completed. Three groups will operate entirely in the new renovated premises, and other groups have received surface renovations. We are now looking for an early childhood educator for the 1-3-year-old group. You will work alongside two early childhood education teachers. An important part of your work involves collaboration with other staff members and with families. You will have the opportunity to influence the content of your workdays by brainstorming together with children and your team. We have a full-time daycare assistant who helps with daily tasks. An inclusive special education teacher and a language and culture teacher are also actively involved in the daily life of the daycare. You will also be supported by the daycare director and assistant director, who are always ready to help and support. Our daycare emphasizes pedagogical skills, play, and physical activity. Our staff combines strong professional expertise with an understanding of the significance of early childhood education work. It is important to us that children and adults enjoy their time here. Workplace name and address: Eestinmetsän Daycare, Mäntytie 27, 02270 Espoo. Working hours: 38 hours 15 minutes/week. The position is fixed-term from August 10, 2026, to June 25, 2027. Qualifications: Qualification in accordance with the Early Childhood Education Act (540/2018, Section 28, Regulation 753/2018, Sections 3 and 4). Suitable educational background includes a basic degree in education and guidance, social and health care, or other comparable qualification, including or supplemented with extensive studies in child care, upbringing, and education. Examples include child care worker, daycare worker, and practical nurse (child and youth care program). Applicants must present a criminal record extract as specified in the Criminal Records Act, Section 6.2. The Infectious Diseases Act requires those working with preschool children to assess the risk of tuberculosis transmission.
