Westends Daycare is a Swedish-speaking facility with 7 groups located in two buildings on the same premises. Four groups consist of children aged 1-3 years, and three groups of children aged 3/4-5 years. The groups collaborate to ensure all children receive appropriately challenging activities. We also regularly explore the diverse surroundings of the daycare, including forest, sea, sandpit, and easily accessible areas in Mattby and Hagalund. This position may also suit you if you are taking a gap year from studies or studying alongside work. As a childcare assistant with us, you play an important role in the children’s early experiences in early childhood education. Many children start with us in August, making close and trusting cooperation with guardians particularly important. You value open dialogue with families and contribute to creating a sense of security for children and their guardians during the familiarization period and the initial phase of the activities. We are looking for a confident, present, and positive adult who can respond to the youngest children in a sensitive, respectful, and playful manner. You are attentive to children’s needs, feelings, and initiatives, and can create a daily environment characterized by care, joy, play, and learning. You support children’s development and well-being by providing a safe environment where each child can develop at their own pace. When you start with us, you will be assigned a mentor who will introduce you to your tasks to ensure a smooth start. We have a clear structure for meetings and planning times, and childcare assistants are also given time to plan and prepare educational activities. We have two daycare aides who assist with daily routines, such as hanging wet clothes and setting tables, so you can focus on the children.
