The Education Services are seeking a fixed-term employment contract from August 10, 2026, to June 5, 2027 GUIDANCE COUNSELOR at Mäntysalo School The guidance counselor's working hours are 30 hours per week plus additional hours as needed. We are looking for a flexible, proactive, and open guidance counselor with a good sense of humor to apply for a personal assistant position! The guidance counselor's task is to assist students in need of help to manage daily school activities in collaboration with other staff. We seek a person with good interaction and interpersonal skills, teamwork and organizational abilities, initiative, a good sense of humor, and the ability to work in rapidly changing situations. The work requires continuous presence and commitment. The qualification requirement is a professional qualification in guidance counseling and morning and afternoon activity guidance (formerly guidance assistant qualification) or an equivalent qualification (e.g., child carer, practical nurse, or youth worker). The selected candidate must provide a criminal record extract in accordance with the Act on Background Checks for Persons Working with Children (504/2002). A six-month probationary period applies. Salary and employment conditions are based on the municipal general collective agreement (KVTES) and the workload assessment of Nurmijärvi municipality. The full-time salary for the position is a2310.93 per month in general education. Additional experience-based pay may be granted based on previous work experience. According to KVTES, experience pay is 3% or 8% of the base salary, depending on relevant experience. Interested?
