We are seeking an electrical engineering specialist for Despro's Owners Engineering team. We are looking for an electrical engineering professional to work on substations, renewable energy, and battery energy storage projects. You can serve as an expert, supervisor, or project manager if needed. Our team member should have experience with substations, electrical networks, or industrial environments (including data centers), and be eager to participate in some of the most significant energy projects in Finland and the Nordic countries. This position can be performed from any of Despro's offices, with flexible remote work options available. In the Owners Engineering team, you can: - Act as a technical expert for the client in solar, wind, BESS, and electrical network projects and their construction - Evaluate EPC, design, and equipment supplier proposals and solutions - Support project planning and risk management (technical feasibility, safety, construction readiness) - Monitor design progress and compliance with technical requirements - Participate in FAT, SAT, and commissioning activities - Assist the client with regulatory processes and connection agreements We expect you to: - Have strong expertise in substations (design, implementation, or supervision) and relevant education (diploma engineer / engineer) - Have experience with electrical networks, renewable energy sources, or industrial environments - Have experience with 110/400 kV substation projects - Be capable of representing the client and managing projects independently - Possess good communication and interpersonal skills, and proficiency in Finnish - Be adaptable and eager to work in a fast-paced environment, with the ability and willingness to learn quickly Additional advantages include: - Proficiency in English and ability to read and produce technical documents in Finnish and English - Knowledge of Fingrid and distribution network operators (DSO/TSO) processes - Experience in EPC, design, or supervision tasks - Experience with electrical systems in data centers - Understanding of battery energy storage systems (BESS) and their electrical implementation - Knowledge of environmental, permit, or safety requirements - Experience with commissioning, testing, and validation - Project management or construction experience - Electrical safety and work safety certifications Why Despro?
