Special Needs Teacher, Nissnikun School - Kirkkonummen kunta - Kyrkslätt, Finland

We are seeking a part-time special needs teacher for a fixed-term position from 1.8.2026 to 31.7.2027 in the 7-9 special class of secondary school. Nissnikun School is a Finnish-language comprehensive school with grades 1-9. The school is located in Masala, Kirkkonummi. Nissnikun School will receive new, modern school facilities starting from the beginning of 2028 as part of a new building project. The school has approximately 526 students in total. In the upper secondary part, there are about 360 students, and in the primary part, about 170. The school is staffed by 55 teachers and 12 school assistants. According to the school's values, students experience joy of learning and grow into responsible members of the community. Students develop holistically to take responsibility for their work, respect themselves and others, and care for the environment. They acquire skills for lifelong learning and are supported in approaching their future with hope. We require strong experience in special education tasks and documentation work in accordance with the new support law in basic education. Applicants who do not meet the qualification requirements will also be considered. The eligibility requirements for the position are based on the decree no 986/98 on the qualifications of education personnel. Terms of employment are governed by the municipal collective agreement for teaching staff (OVTES). A five-month probationary period will be used for this fixed-term position. The selected candidate must provide an acceptable medical certificate of health and a criminal record extract in accordance with the Act on Background Checks for Persons Working with Children (504/2002).
