Koukkuniemi's complex care residential unit 2 offers 24-hour residential services in a facility-based form for elderly people with severe memory impairments. The unit has 10 residents, whose special care needs are typically due to behavioral challenges related to dementia. We are committed to providing high-quality, customer-oriented care and support in close cooperation with relatives. Our goal is to enable residents to have meaningful daily lives by utilizing their strengths. The practical nurse's duties include comprehensive medication administration, RAI assessments, detailed documentation, collaboration with relatives, coordinating with other healthcare providers, and monitoring residents' health. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to ensure that residents' functional abilities are maintained as fully as possible. What kind of professional are we looking for? You are a licensed practical nurse (social welfare) or a basic caregiver. You have a hygiene passport and up-to-date medication authorization. If any part is missing, it can be completed at the start of employment. You have a customer-oriented mindset, good communication skills, and a willingness to develop. You possess a calm and persistent work attitude. You are familiar with customer and patient information systems used in daily work (Omni360 and Saga). You are familiar with RAI assessment tools. Start date is 18 May 2026 or by agreement. The position is temporary until 30 September 2026. The trial period is half of the employment duration. The working hours are full-time, shift work, including mornings, evenings, nights, and weekends. The selected candidate must present a criminal record extract according to section 6, paragraph 4 of the Criminal Records Act before starting employment.
