We are seeking a design manager for project management and construction projects in the Helsinki metropolitan area. Could this be your next career move? The role includes diverse project management tasks for infrastructure construction projects, both in traditional procurement methods and collaborative delivery models. As a design manager, you will lead the planning of the project and be responsible for managing the design process and achieving objectives within the agreed schedule. You will work closely with the client, contractor, and other key stakeholders. Decisions and solutions made in this role have long-term impacts on people's daily lives and the built environment. Currently, our project portfolio includes tramway alliances, port projects, and industrial and electrical infrastructure sites. We actively seek to develop design management, and we hope you will participate in this work as an active team member. The work is dynamic, and the sites may be located across Finland. Keys to success in this role: We require you to have diverse experience in managing the design of construction projects and an understanding of the requirements related to project management of demanding projects. You hold a relevant higher education degree (AMK or university) and have good Finnish and English language skills. It is an advantage if you have: experience with infrastructure or underground projects, experience working in a contractor organization, knowledge of BIM-based methods. You see broad entities and can connect technical design solutions with the client's operational and financial goals. You understand that successful results come from collaboration and can build a trusting and effective design team. You handle conflicts calmly and solution-oriented. Additionally, you understand the requirements of different design disciplines and can assemble them into a functional design entity.
