Customer acquisition (asiakashankinta in Finnish) is everything you do to find companies that could buy from you and turn them into customers. The method is the same in every B2B company: define your ideal customer, build a list of companies that fit, find the moment each one needs you, reach the right person and follow up.
The moment is the step most teams skip, and it is often visible in public data. A company that posts its first sales job is about to buy sales tools. In our data, 221 Finnish companies asked for B2B sales skills in their job ads in the 90 days to 26 Oct 2026.
We are building Prospector, which ranks Finnish companies by how well they fit what you sell and shows the signals behind it. Leave your email and we will tell you when it opens.
Nothing is charged.

JobCrawls, job ads of Finnish companies, 26 Oct 2026532 companies have open sales ads now (1,126 ads in all)
JobCrawls, job ads of Finnish companies, 26 Oct 2026Write down which companies get the most from what you sell: industry, size, location and what they use today. Look at your best existing customers first.
What they share is your starting profile.
Turn the profile into a list of real companies. Finnish companies are in public registers (the Trade Register, Business Information System) and in their own job ads.
A list of 50 companies that fit beats a list of 5,000 that might.
A company is far more likely to buy when something has just changed. A job ad is one of the clearest signs: a company hiring its first salesperson buys sales tools, a company hiring fast needs more of everything, and a company asking for a skill you sell is telling you what it lacks.
JobCrawls, job ads of Finnish companies, 26 Oct 2026Work out which role decides: founder, sales director, head of HR. Write to that role about the change you noticed, not a general pitch.
One short message that names the reason you are writing is enough.
Most replies come after the first message. Plan two or three follow-ups, spaced a few days apart, and keep every company and its next step in one list.
A deals list or a CRM does this.
The words are used loosely, but the common meaning is this. A lead is a company or person that may be interested in what you sell.
A prospect is a lead you have checked against your ideal customer and who has a real need or the means to buy.
Qualification (kvalifiointi in Finnish) is that check: does the company fit, is there a need, is there a person who can decide. Leads that fail it are dropped, so the team spends its time on prospects.
What we are building
Prospector finds the buying moments in public data for you. When it opens, it will:
Leave your email. We only use it to tell you when Prospector is available.
Define your ideal customer, list the companies that fit, find the moment each needs you, reach the person who decides and follow up. In B2B this is called prospecting.
A prospect is a company or person you have checked against your ideal customer and who has a need or the means to buy. Prospecting (prospektointi) is the work of finding and checking them.
A lead may be interested. A prospect is a lead you have qualified: it fits your ideal customer and has a real need. Every prospect was a lead, but not every lead becomes a prospect.
A lead (liidi in Finnish) is a company or person that has shown interest in what you sell or looks like it could. Lead generation is the work of finding them.
Qualification (kvalifiointi) is checking whether a lead is worth your time: does it fit your ideal customer, does it have a need and is there someone who can decide.
B2B stands for business to business. B2B marketing is marketing aimed at companies rather than consumers, and it usually targets a role in the company, such as a sales director.
