**Chef / Cook – Japanese Restaurant in Helsinki**\nWe are looking for an experienced Chef/Cook to join our Japanese restaurant in Helsinki. The position requires extensive professional knowledge and practical experience in Japanese cuisine.\nThe main responsibilities include preparing ingredients, preparing and cooking Japanese dishes during restaurant service, maintaining consistent quality and presentation standards, and contributing to the development of new menu items. The employee will also be expected to provide guidance and instructions to other kitchen staff when necessary and may assist with general restaurant operations and restaurant-related events as required.\n**Requirements**\n- At least ten (10) years of professional experience as a chef/cook in specialized Japanese restaurants (Teishoku restaurant, Izakaya restaurant, etc.) other than sushi restaurants. \n\n- Experience in a supervisory or senior kitchen role, including providing guidance and instructions to other chefs and kitchen staff\n\n- Strong knowledge of Japanese ingredients, food preparation methods, cooking techniques, and culinary terminology\n\n- Ability to prepare Japanese dishes consistently to professional standards\n\n- Ability to contribute to menu development\n\n- Ability to communicate effectively in Japanese in a professional kitchen environment, particularly regarding food preparation, cooking techniques, kitchen operations, and menu development\n\n- **A Japanese Cooks License and/or a diploma or certificate from a culinary school in Japan is considered an advantage.**\n\n- A valid Finnish Hygiene Passport, or the ability to obtain one as required
