Banqueting and Events Chef

Banquet- and event kitchen chef for a hotel restaurant in Vantaa. We are looking for an experienced banquet and events chef to join our partner’s hotel restaurant and prepare impressive, delicious food for a wide range of events, conferences and celebrations. Events range from small functions of around 50 guests to banquets for more than 500 guests. You will be responsible for high-quality food production and ensuring that kitchen production runs efficiently according to plan, even during busy periods. You will work as the Head Chef’s trusted team member and, depending on your previous experience and skills, you will have the opportunity to take on additional responsibilities. To succeed you need previous experience in a banqueting, events or catering kitchen; the ability to work well under pressure and maintain an organised approach; the ability to work efficiently with large-scale production; the ability to calculate ingredient quantities accurately and actively minimise food waste; a good command of English; Finnish language skills are considered an advantage. We offer a varied role in a high-quality hotel restaurant environment; the opportunity to work on events of different sizes; the support of a professional team; approx. 70–112.5 working hours per three-week period depending on season and number of events; and an hourly wage of €16–€18 plus applicable supplements in accordance with the collective agreement.
