General Practitioner

The position is located primarily at the Kaukajärvi primary health care station. As a health center doctor, your duties are diverse. Depending on your interest you may also work in sectoral health work, for example in maternal and child health or school health care. You can also work as a digital clinic doctor as part of your duties. We enable continuity of care according to the own doctor model, and you will be supported by a named nurse pair. In line with Pirha’s on-call obligation, the job includes on-call shifts during weekday evenings (Mon–Thu 16:00–20:00) about 1–2 months. The job may also include shifts in the digital clinic and Hatanpää urgent reception on weekends and holidays. On-call shifts are paid according to the doctor contract with on-call multipliers, or alternatively you can accumulate flex-time hours. Why join us? You are eligible for the role if you are a legally licensed physician in Finland with a general practitioner specialist degree. We require good Finnish language skills in speech and writing. We also value prior experience as a general practitioner and a development‑oriented attitude and willingness to commit long-term to a health center. If qualified general practitioners do not apply, a late-stage doctor in general practice may be considered. More information: we agree on the start date separately. There is a six-month probation period. The job is full-time with day shifts. Part-time is negotiable. The chosen candidate must provide required health documents within one month of commencing and a pre-employment health check will be conducted by Pirte.
