What are we looking for?
We are seeking a counsellor for a permanent position at the six-place special unit Keltasirkku. The successful candidate must have a university of applied sciences degree in social services and health care or a vocational qualification in the field. Nurse, social services professional, practical nurse—this position could be for you!

- Be able to commit to Terva Care’s dialogical, relationship-based approach.
- Have experience in residential child welfare care.
- Work in an adult-led way, including in demanding situations.
- Bring joy, enthusiasm and genuine care to your work.
In residential care, we as caregivers are responsible for the memories we leave in the hearts of children and young people. Truly embracing this approach is your most important task with us.
We value it if you have:
- Experience working with neurodivergent children or children with trauma backgrounds.
- Experience working with children and young people who display challenging symptoms.
- Good interaction skills and a child-centred approach to documentation.
- A good sense of humour and the ability to handle pressure.
We know from experience that a high-quality, loving, dialogical, safe and rehabilitative environment is created when counsellors who think and work in similar ways come together in the same workplace.
What do we offer?
We promise to take good care of you and offer a very interesting workplace. You will be surrounded by strong expertise, humour and a can-do attitude. You will have the opportunity to grow and develop professionally as part of a great team. Your preferences are genuinely taken into account in shift planning. The employment is permanent and includes a six-month probationary period. The person selected must provide a criminal record extract required under the Act on Checking the Criminal Background of Persons Working with Children (505/2002). A category B driving licence is essential and must be presented to the employer. You must have a valid hygiene passport. We provide medication-management training.
