Design Engineer

We are seeking a capable and innovative design engineer to strengthen our expert team at Tampereen Energia Sähköverkko for a fixed-term period until 30 September 2027. The role focuses on electrical grid design and development, with analytical thinking and problem-solving at the core. Responsibilities include comprehensive planning and sizing of electrical network expansion and renovation projects, development and optimization of technical solutions to ensure efficiency, reliability and safety, drafting and maintaining design documentation, defining technical requirements and providing technical support, and collaborating with stakeholders including internal construction teams, connection services, external contractors and authorities. Requirements include a university degree in electrical power engineering, experience in electrical network design tasks and techno-economic sizing of networks, understanding of grid structures and components, ability to work independently and solve problems, methodical and precise work approach, and strong communication and teamwork skills.
