Senior/Lead System Safety Specialist

We are seeking an experienced System Safety or Functional Safety specialist to strengthen our Technical Safety organization. Safety and reliability are core values for us and for our customers, forming a foundation for a strong brand. Ensuring compliance with essential safety requirements is a statutory obligation arising from EU directives and regulations and these requirements must be documented throughout the product lifecycle. Our Technical Safety team aims to manage mechanical, electrical, fire and environmental risks as well as cybersecurity threats. In this role you will, depending on your background and experience, work on projects for our customers' mobile machines and/or defense industry. Your work as a System Safety specialist includes requirements specification, reliability and safety analyses (RA, FTA, FMECA), safety actions derived from risk assessments as Safety Requirements Specification (SRS), and verifying required Performance Level (PL) using SISTEMA calculations. To succeed you will have a customer‑driven, solution‑oriented mindset and the ability to complete tasks in collaboration with stakeholders and our own team. You hold a university degree in engineering (e.g. electrical, automation, mechanical or safety engineering) and at least five years of relevant experience. You interpret standards and their requirements fluently. You can analyse the reliability and safety compliance of complex technical system designs. You also understand the importance of traceability. While collaboration is valued, you are able to make decisions independently. The working language is primarily Finnish, but you will also need fluent English for documentation and customer contact in an international environment. In defense industry projects, security clearances and narcotics testing may be required. We are primarily seeking candidates for our Tampere office, but work from other sites with security specialists may also be possible. Regular travel to customer sites, especially in Pirkanmaa and Kanta‑Häme, is expected.
