Must-have skills include experience with SaaS/cloud data platforms, programming in Python or Kotlin, experience with cloud data warehouses (ClickHouse, Snowflake, Azure), API design, multi-tenant security, CI/CD, automated testing, and compliance frameworks like SOC 2 and ISO 27001. Nice-to-haves include BI tool integration, semantic search, streaming architectures, containerisation, AI tooling, and transformation frameworks. Responsibilities
- Own and operate data pipelines for event streams, metadata, and usage data into cloud data warehouses
- Design and maintain secure APIs for analytics and event extraction
- Model schemas for BI, investigate data quality issues, support stakeholders
- Ensure reliability and security through automated tests, monitoring, and handling sensitive data
- Work with vector stores, indexing, and retrieval systems for AI experiences
- Drive engineering best practices: CI/CD, peer reviews, infrastructure as code, API versioning, documentation
Requirements
- Experience with building data platforms in SaaS or cloud-native environments
- Strong programming skills in Python or Kotlin, experience with Rust or TypeScript is a plus
- Hands-on experience with cloud data warehouses (ClickHouse, Redshift, BigQuery, Snowflake, Azure Synapse) and cloud infrastructure on AWS or Azure
- Designing, consuming, and maintaining APIs
- Knowledge of multi-tenant security patterns: RBAC, row-level security, OAuth, SAML/SSO
- Solid engineering fundamentals: CI/CD, automated testing, observability, infrastructure as code (Terraform)
- Knowledge of data privacy requirements (PII, GDPR) and compliance frameworks like SOC 2 or ISO 27001
