A successful catering event starts long before the first guest arrives. The right food, dishes, decorations and other equipment must be in the right place at the right time and arrive intact. You play an important role in making that happen. The work is event-based and suits, for example, a light entrepreneur, an entrepreneur, someone looking for additional work or anyone interested in flexible work. The suitability of the position for a work trial can be discussed separately. **What does the work involve?** As a driver, you will transport catering production goods from the kitchen and business premises to a variety of event venues and, when needed, back again. Your duties may include: - Transporting food and catering products - Transporting dishes, serving equipment and other event furnishings - Transporting decorations and styling materials - Loading the vehicle and unloading the cargo - Carrying items from the kitchen to the vehicle and from the vehicle to the event venue - Placing items in agreed locations at the event venue - Returning dishes, equipment and other items after the event The work is physical and sometimes strenuous, involving lifting, carrying and moving around. **What kind of person are we looking for?** Above all, we are looking for a reliable and self-motivated person. Timeliness matters in catering transport. When an event starts at a particular time, the goods must be there beforehand. We therefore value a driver who arrives as agreed, sees assigned tasks through to completion and can work independently. You should not think the work ends when the vehicle stops at the event venue. You must be willing to handle boxes and help get items where they need to go. We hope you have: - A valid category B driving licence - Punctuality and reliability - Confident and safe driving habits - Readiness to drive a van - An independent and self-directed approach to work - Good physical capability and readiness to carry items - Care when handling food, dishes and other equipment - Flexibility for varying work times - The ability to stay calm when schedules are tight Previous experience in transport, catering, event or logistics work is an advantage. **What do we offer you?** The scenery changes in this job, and you get to see the tangible results of your work. One day you may deliver food and dishes to a corporate event; another day, you may transport the tableware, decorations and catering equipment for an entire celebration. You are an important part of the event chain, ensuring that the work done in the kitchen reaches its destination and that the event can be carried out as planned. You can influence your own work, as the role may be expanded by agreement to include event setup and dismantling as well as other varied catering tasks, according to your skills and interests. The work is event-based. Shifts and their lengths vary according to events and orders.
