About the role

Would you like to be at the forefront of shaping one of Finland’s biggest changes in primary health care? Are you proactive and eager to improve repetitive processes continuously? Are you a creative problem-solver who enjoys tackling challenges where ready-made or easy solutions are not typically available? If your answer is yes, the role of development manager for LUVN’s practitioner model could be for you. You will work as part of the Reforming Services service line, which includes a project organization driving the planning and deployment of the doctor-on-practice model, including practitioners. Your own work will focus primarily on the practitioner model and doctors and their nurse teams operating under that model. If the practitioner model were a small startup, your role would be COO. You will be responsible for updating contract packages, overseeing onboarding of new doctors, and the invoicing processes that are taken from pilots toward a scalable model. Our goals are high: to restore residents’ trust in health center operations, to create more engaging job descriptions for professionals, and to improve the cost-effectiveness of the service system by investing in continuity of care. Your duties include: developing governance and processes for practitioner doctors and their nurse partners, familiarizing yourself with practitioner-model contracts and proactively supporting the overall goals, coordinating and reporting on the STM-funded smooth and clear doctor-on-practice project to various stakeholders such as STM and other welfare regions, and acting as the contact person for a small portion of practitioners, their nurse teams, and the health center acting as their parent facility. We expect you to have a higher education degree, at least 3 years’ experience in operational and process development, consulting, or similar roles, the possibility to work in Espoon Otaniemi or go to health centers 3–4 days per week, a solution-focused approach to new problems, ability to operate in a rapidly changing environment, courage to challenge current practices, excellent collaboration and communication skills, and experience with health center operations is an advantage. We offer the chance to influence one of the most significant reforms in basic health care at a national level, a key role in an organization where broad changes to services and professional work are implemented with commitment, a multidisciplinary and dedicated team, a permanent contract with competitive compensation and employee benefits. At random, successful applicants may be asked to provide a drug test in line with the West Uusimaa welfare district programme. We are agents of change, reforming bravely what needs improvement and keeping what works. We invest in every employee’s well-being and offer diverse benefits to our staff, including a lunch benefit and 300 EUR per year to use for culture, wellness, or travel tickets, and access to Eduhouse and Oppiporta’s extensive online training.
