Physical Education Teacher

Tampere’s basic education system serves about 18,500 students with a dedicated team of over 2,000 professionals. The city operates 30 primary schools, details available on Tampere’s education pages. We are seeking a full-time substitute teacher for Physical Education and Health Education at Wivi Lönnin School for grades 7–9 for the period 28 September 2026 to 5 June 2027. Qualifications follow the regulations governing teacher eligibility under the Act 986/1998, including degree, disciplines (credit points/credits), and pedagogical studies. Eligibility must be achieved before the application deadline. In temporary posts, applicants who meet the eligibility might be considered even if they lack it. We value diverse pedagogical competencies, excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills, and any additional training supporting the role.
