Food Services Supervisor

As Food Services Supervisor, you are responsible for the smooth daily operation, quality and cost-effectiveness of food services at day-care centres and schools. You are the immediate supervisor of food services staff and report to the Director of Finance and Administration. Key duties: - Direct supervision of staff, shift planning and work allocation - Employee orientation and arrangements for absences and substitutes - Menu planning and consideration of nutrition recommendations and special diets - Self-monitoring and supervision of hygiene and safety matters - Practical management of procurement, orders and the Jamix system - Cooperation with day-care centres, schools and other customers - Participation in practical kitchen work when needed - Planning, monitoring and forecasting food services finances - Monitoring costs, service volumes and food waste - Preparation of monthly invoicing and financial and reporting information - Participation in preparing the budget and financial statements - Developing operations and participating in preparedness planning for food services What we expect from you? The qualification requirement is a large-scale catering supervisor qualification or other equivalent, relevant prior education. We also expect you to have: - Experience in food services work - Supervisory and work-management capabilities - Knowledge of nutrition recommendations, special diets and self-monitoring - Financial planning and monitoring capabilities - Good collaboration, organisation and IT skills - A responsible and development-oriented approach Experience in municipal food services, shift planning, and the use of food-services financial and information systems is an advantage.
