CNC Press Brake Operator We are looking for an experienced CNC Press Brake Operator for our client company in Ylivieska, Northern Ostrobothnia, Finland. This is a permanent, full-time position involving two-shift work. Willingness to work three shifts is considered an advantage. The materials processed include thin sheet metal with thicknesses ranging from 0.4 to 10 mm, including carbon steel, stainless steel, acid-resistant stainless steel and aluminium. Our client specialises in demanding sheet metal assemblies, engineering, design and product development. The company’s customers include manufacturers of refrigeration and cooling equipment, medical devices, telecommunications equipment and transportation-related products. The client offers a spacious, clean and modern production environment equipped with several CNC punching machines, laser cutting machines and press brakes. Some of the press brakes are partially robotised. The factory operates several Amada and Finnpower press brakes, including the Amada HFE 3i 1003 and Amada HFE 3i 2204L. Requirements To succeed in this position, you must have previous experience in CNC press brake operation, good mathematical and spatial reasoning skills, and the ability to read and interpret technical drawings. Advanced programming skills are not required, as the programs are already prepared. However, you must be able to independently make necessary adjustments, corrections and modifications to existing programs and machine settings. We value a precise and careful approach to work, initiative, responsibility, and a willingness to learn new skills and further develop your professional expertise. Previous experience in press brake operation is essential. You should be confident in reading technical drawings, working independently, maintaining dimensional accuracy and ensuring high-quality results. Good communication skills in Finnish and/or English are required. Experience with other sheet metal machinery, such as CNC punching machines, laser cutting machines and automated CNC equipment, is considered an advantage. Additional skills in welding, surface treatment or mechanical assembly are also beneficial. Other machinery used at the client’s factory includes the Amada EM Z 3612 MII CNC punching machine, Amada Vipros 358 King CNC punching machine, two Bystronic fibre laser cutting machines (6 kW and 3 kW), and an Amada 100-3 bending machine.
