Tampere University and Tampere University of Applied Sciences form Finland's second-largest multidisciplinary research and learning community. Our university community's focus areas are technology, health, and society. We are seeking a university lecturer in psychology, primarily to teach health and mental health psychology courses within the psychology degree program. The job includes teaching, supervising theses, conducting and developing scientific research, and participating in program operations and administration. Requirements include a doctoral degree in psychology, ability to provide high-quality research-based teaching and supervision, evidence of independent research, and strong Finnish and English skills. Desirable additions include university pedagogy studies, evidence of international scientific activity, experience obtaining research funding, and experience teaching courses in health and mental health psychology. We offer an active and innovative work community with flexible working arrangements, good occupational health care, affordable campus cafeterias and café services, and support for cultural and sports activities. The position includes a six-month probationary period. Salary follows the universities’ pay scales. Expected starting salary is about 4600–4800 EUR per month.
