Role highlights: IT Infrastructure Lead. Location: Espoo. Department: IT. Reports to: Head of IT. Employment type: Permanent. Workplace model: Onsite. Employment is subject to applicable security screening (including SUPO, where required). Why this role matters: ICEYE's satellites are built on infrastructure this team runs, and ICEYE’s business is fully reliant on the availability of this infrastructure. As the IT Infrastructure Lead, you'll lead a team of 7 across Finland and Poland that owns our networks, data centres, office setups and manufacturing IT. We operate in 10+ countries, and your mandate is to turn a setup that grew fast into one consolidated, secure and scalable foundation, in an environment shaped by defence and national security requirements. It's a role for a leader who can set direction, stay hands-on, and adapt quickly as the business grows. Who We Are: ICEYE is the world leader in sovereign intelligence from space. We deliver persistent monitoring capabilities to detect and respond to changes in any location on Earth. ICEYE owns the world's largest and most advanced SAR (synthetic aperture radar) satellite constellation. To our customers we provide intelligence with unmatched quality, latency and revisit times, in any weather, day or night. To governments who choose to operate their own constellation we provide this proven capability as a sovereign system. ICEYE-built constellations serve customers in defence and intelligence, environmental monitoring, insurance and emergency management. We enable fast decisions that contribute to a safer future. Founded and headquartered in Finland, ICEYE operates globally with over 1000 employees across Europe, North America, the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific. Your day-to-day responsibilities: • Own the infrastructure strategy and roadmap across networks, data centres, offices and manufacturing IT, and give the team a consistent technical direction. • Lead the consolidation of our setup across 10+ countries, and build a repeatable playbook for standing up new offices and sites. • Secure the infrastructure: network segmentation, zero trust, classified environments, and keeping manufacturing (OT) networks separate from office IT. • Keep things running: incident and problem management, escalation, monitoring and SLAs. • Embed business continuity, disaster recovery, patch management and logging into how the infrastructure is built and run. • Support security audits, accreditations and certifications. • Work with business stakeholders, product teams and neighbouring IT teams (IT Systems, IT Support and Assets, IT Steering and Enablement) to balance priorities, compliance and speed. • Own the infrastructure budget, manage suppliers and consultants, and contribute to quarterly financial planning. • Lead, hire and develop a team of 7 across Finland and Poland, while staying hands-on in architecture, design reviews and critical incidents. What we’re looking for. Must haves: • 5+ years of leading an Infrastructure team and hands-on experience in Infrastructure. • Deep expertise in enterprise network design and operations. • Eligibility to obtain and maintain a high-level national security clearance in Finland. • A proactive can-do attitude combined with the ability to find simple solutions to complex problems. • Experience using AI tools in operations and automation, and assessing AI-related infrastructure needs. • Pragmatic decision-maker who finds simple solutions to complex problems, even with incomplete information. • Experience leading distributed, multi-country teams. • Managing vendors and budgets. • Fluent English. • Willingness to travel. Nice to haves: • Familiarity with Kubernetes operations for the on-prem setups. • Experience with Infrastructure as Code to maintain network infrastructure. • Aerospace, defence or manufacturing background. • Manufacturing network security. • Experience consolidating or integrating infrastructure across sites or acquisitions. • Fluent in Finnish or Polish. Application Process: • TA Screen (30 mins). • Interview with Hiring Manager (30 mins). • Technical Deep-Dive Interview with Team (60 mins). • Stakeholder & Security Alignment Interview (30 mins). Working at ICEYE: At ICEYE, you’ll join a diverse and highly engaged team united by the ambition to make the impossible possible. As a global scale-up, we combine speed and ambition with the opportunity to take real ownership from day one. Drive effective teamwork: Create psychological safety, invite different perspectives, and build inclusive teams. There are no bad questions. Act as one team: We win together.
