About the role

This onsite IT Operations Engineer position at Skydio's HQ is the front line of employee technology support — the person who makes sure every new hire's first day starts smoothly, every equipment request gets fulfilled, every conference room works when a meeting starts, and every walk-up question gets answered fast. You'll own the full employee technology lifecycle: onboarding, transfers, offboarding, equipment provisioning, purchasing, conference room support, and day-to-day employee technology support. As the face of IT, you'll be the first point of contact for walk-up requests and helpdesk tickets, gathering the right information, resolving issues where possible, and coordinating with the appropriate IT teams when additional expertise is needed. You'll also ensure employee accounts and devices are correctly provisioned throughout their lifecycle using Okta and JumpCloud while continuously improving operational processes. Key Responsibilities: - Serve as the primary point of contact for walk-up and ticketed IT support by gathering information, troubleshooting hardware, software, and connectivity issues across Linux, Windows, and Mac. - Provide hands-on support for hardware diagnostics, system provisioning, and patch management. - Own the employee technology lifecycle end-to-end — new hire onboarding, internal transfers, and offboarding. - Administer and improve Okta for identity and access: SSO, MFA, user provisioning/deprovisioning, group management, and automation workflows. - Ensure employee devices are properly enrolled in JumpCloud during onboarding, updated throughout conversions, and removed during offboarding. - Manage the full equipment request lifecycle — intake, approval, purchasing, provisioning, and tracking. - Maintain accurate IT asset inventory records and coordinate hardware refresh, repair, and retirement. - Proactively maintain and troubleshoot conference room and meeting space technology. - Document processes, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures. What Makes You a Good Fit: - A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field, or equivalent hands-on experience. - Minimum of 2 years supporting employees in a fast-paced office environment, and hands-on technical experience supporting Linux, Windows, and Mac environments. - Identity & access management: Experience supporting day-to-day Okta administration. - Device management: Experience with JumpCloud or similar MDM/device management tooling. - AV & meeting room technology: Comfortable troubleshooting conference room displays, cameras, microphones, and video conferencing systems. - Networking fundamentals: Working knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VLANs. - Strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and a proactive, organized mindset. - Obtaining FAA Part 107 certification within the first 60 days of employment is strongly encouraged.
