Teollisuuden Voima Oyj (TVO) is one of Finland’s largest electricity producers and a key player in building a carbon-neutral future. We are now looking for an experienced Group Business Controller to strengthen our Finance and Sustainability organisation and develop finance’s role as an even stronger partner to the business and management. This is an exceptionally interesting time to join us: we are developing finance business partnering, group-level planning and reporting, and how value creation in strategic projects is managed and monitored. We are looking for someone who does not settle for producing information, but can turn it into insight, constructively challenge current practices and help management make better decisions. Your main responsibilities You will act as an active finance partner to group functions such as IT and HR, and advise management on finance and value creation. You will support strategic projects and programmes by assessing their financial impact and monitoring whether the intended value is achieved. You will develop and coordinate group-level management reporting and ensure that information relevant to decision-making is available. You will produce business analyses and decision-support materials and prepare management presentations. You will contribute to developing TVO-wide planning, forecasting and monitoring processes. You will develop KPIs, reporting, performance-management practices, and financial planning and analytics tools. You will develop finance business partnering and operating practices together with the rest of the Finance and Sustainability team. What we expect from you You have strong experience in business controlling, performance management, management reporting, FP&A, finance consulting, or other work at the interface of finance and business. You can act as a credible sparring partner to business and support-function management. You are development-oriented and willing to challenge current practices and seek better solutions while listening and building collaboration. The position requires a suitable master’s degree, for example in a commercial or technical field, fluent English and readiness to use Finnish as a working language. You will report to the Director of Finance and Sustainability. We particularly value: Experience in finance business partnering and advising management. Experience in group-level planning, forecasting and management reporting. Experience in developing finance operating models, processes and reporting. Knowledge of Anaplan or experience with similar financial planning and modelling tools. Power BI or other reporting and analytics expertise. A consulting, transformation or other strong development background. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, self-direction, the ability to see the big picture and good interaction skills. What makes this role different? At the TVO Group, you will work at the heart of Finland’s energy system, where performance management, visibility into value creation and reliable management reporting support long-term decision-making, security of supply and climate action. Olkiluoto is an exceptional industrial and regulatory environment operating over a very long time horizon and producing a significant share of Finland’s electricity. TVO offers a unique combination of strategic significance, stability and an international environment, as well as a flexible working model between Olkiluoto and remote work. Interested? Express your interest without an application or CV by answering a short questionnaire. Act promptly, as we process applications daily. The first interview is planned for week 46. For further information, contact Finance and Sustainability Director Simo Uusijoki on Monday 26 October from 15:00 to 17:00 or Tuesday 27 October from 15:00 to 17:00, tel. +358 40 5375 657, or MPS Senior Consultant Timo Harju on 30 October from 11:00 to 12:00 or 3 November from 09:00 to 10:00, tel. +358 20 746 9688. Why is this a unique opportunity for you? At the TVO Group, we produce climate-friendly electricity using nuclear power. Together with renewable energy sources, it plays a decisive role in mitigating climate change. Olkiluoto 3, Finland’s largest individual climate action, is complete. OL3 makes Finland almost self-sufficient in electricity and takes us a major step towards a carbon-neutral society. With all three nuclear power plant units, 30% of Finland’s electricity comes from one island, where the entire lifecycle of nuclear power is managed. At ONKALO®, excavated deep into bedrock, we will begin the safe final disposal of spent nuclear fuel as the first in the world. You can make full use of your expertise here, as we invest strongly in employee wellbeing, developing work and practices, and continuous improvement. You will have excellent opportunities to grow and train to become an international top professional in the nuclear industry. In addition to career opportunities, the TVO Group offers its employees comprehensive benefits that support everyday life and the opportunity to do meaningful work in a unique nuclear-industry environment.
