This role sits at the heart of that transformation. As Portfolio Architect you will own the end-to-end architectural vision for Basware’s product portfolio. You will bridge product strategy, engineering delivery, data and AI innovation — ensuring that our platform evolves coherently, scalably, and with AI-first thinking embedded from the ground up. You will report into senior technology leadership and work in close partnership with Product, Engineering, and Data Science to set technical direction, govern architectural standards, and accelerate the adoption of LLMs, agentic systems, and ML pipelines across the portfolio.

Requirements
- Proven experience as a Solution, Portfolio or Principal Architect at a $300M+ ARR SaaS company
- Hands-on expertise in AI/ML engineering — specifically in one or more of: LLMs, agentic systems, vector stores, RAG architectures, and ML pipelines
- Practical experience with MLOps tooling and practices (e.g. MLflow, Kubeflow, SageMaker, Vertex AI, or equivalent)
- Demonstrable understanding of AI governance, responsible AI principles, and regulatory considerations (e.g. EU AI Act awareness)
- Strong track record of defining and communicating architectural vision to diverse audiences — engineers, executives, and customers
- Deep cloud-native architecture experience on AWS or Azure
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English; able to produce crisp, persuasive technical narratives
