Electrical Business Unit Project Manager
Lead Anfra’s electrical projects and business; €6,000–€18,000 monthly fixed salary plus project bonuses.
Anfra as an employer Anfra is a concrete and infrastructure construction company operating in Finland and Northern Sweden, employing more than 250 professionals and providing a broad range of services. Our core expertise includes cast-in-place concrete structures, structural design and infrastructure construction for industrial, corporate and public-sector projects. Our specialities include industrial construction and infrastructure for energy construction. As a company boldly renewing the construction industry, we are innovative and growing rapidly, and offer our professionals extensive opportunities to develop. Our smooth everyday work is supported by a low hierarchy, modern management and agile ways of working. Management, quality and environmental certifications provide a foundation for responsible operations. You can recognise an Anfra colleague by our values—fun, openness, determination and care—which guide everything we do in the office and on worksites. At Anfra, change is not an exception; it is a normal and energising part of growth. We are growing quickly, and it shows: projects increase, practices evolve and roles change. You will not do the same thing day after day and year after year; instead, you will keep learning, adapting and developing with us. We do not seek perfection, but the courage to approach new things with curiosity. That is how we build a slightly better Anfra together every day. Experienced electrical projects manager, are you looking for a role where you can lead and grow the company’s electrical business and genuinely influence your compensation in return for a strong contribution? What is the role? We are looking for a project manager with business responsibility to lead Anfra’s electrical projects, including BESS, substations and other demanding electrical projects. You may live and work anywhere in Finland, provided you are willing to travel to worksites in Finland and, when necessary, Sweden, as well as to Anfra offices. You will independently and with customer responsibility manage procurement, pricing and contract negotiations for electrical projects, as well as production, finances, schedules, quality, safety and project organisations. You will not simply deliver projects that have already been sold, but actively build Anfra’s electrical business and carry business and profit responsibility for your projects. As the business grows, you will have the opportunity to build a team of electrical specialists around you and work with our electrical service partners. You will collaborate closely with the rest of Anfra’s team and have the expertise and support of design, construction and the wider organisation around you. For your own projects, however, you are in the driver’s seat and carry responsibility entrepreneurially, even when the figures are not looking good. Success in this role will be clearly reflected in your pay, while you also genuinely carry responsibility for the success of the projects. The fixed monthly salary for employment is €6,000–€18,000, depending on your demonstrable track record, abilities and qualifications. In addition, a bonus model allows bonuses based on the margins of your own projects, with annual bonuses potentially reaching 3–4 times the fixed monthly salary. What do we hope you bring to the table? You have a strong background in electrical power engineering and experience successfully negotiating, procuring and delivering demanding electrical projects. We expect experience with substations, BESS projects, renewable energy projects, industrial electrification or other demanding electrical engineering projects, particularly at high-voltage level. You also have relevant electrical engineering education, such as an engineering or Master of Science in Technology degree. S1 qualification is an advantage. We are looking for someone able and willing to take responsibility for the commercial side of projects and for building the electrical business in our growing company. You have procured extensive electrical engineering projects and led them with financial responsibility. You understand project finances, contracts and risks, work seamlessly with customers and can drive projects purposefully from tendering through implementation to a profitable result. Commercial instinct without understanding how electrical projects are delivered is not enough here, nor is strong electrical engineering expertise without willingness to take business responsibility. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic about both. You work and conduct negotiations fluently in Finnish and English. You are a development-minded team player, and Anfra’s values of fun, openness, determination and care also describe how you work. Everyday life in our growing company and great team is fast-paced and rewarding, so we believe you will enjoy working with us if you are excited by getting things done and by an appropriate level of challenge. You approach new ways of working with curiosity and are energised by the opportunities growth brings. You have a continuous desire to learn and the ability to keep up with change fearlessly. Above all, you value the opportunity to leave your professional mark on building Anfra’s electrical business. Interested in becoming an Anfra colleague? For this role, we are looking for just the right electrical business leader for Anfra’s next growth phase, so we want both sides to get to know each other properly and take their time. We meet candidates on a rolling basis and will fill the position when we find the right person. You do not need to have made a final decision when you apply. We hope you will get in touch with us informally so that we can have introductory conversations with an open mind and tell you more about our growth plans. During the process, we will thoroughly discuss the role, responsibilities, compensation model, Anfra’s plans for developing the electrical business and the kind of business we could build together. Our recruitment process proceeds as follows: Express your interest in becoming an Anfra colleague by submitting an application through our careers site using our simple application system. In addition to recruitment professionals, we use automation and artificial intelligence in our recruitment process. If the basic requirements match, we will contact you for an introductory discussion. Candidates selected to continue will have the opportunity to present themselves further at a suitable time through assessments (independent personality assessments and ability tests). With this additional information, we will invite suitable candidates to follow-up meetings to meet Anfra team members and learn more about our way of working. The recruitment process also includes a short case assignment through which you can demonstrate your abilities for the role in practice. If everything fits, let’s shake hands and welcome you to Anfra’s excellent team! If you have questions, contact Construction Director Teemu Kangas at teemu.kangas@anfra.fi. The opportunity in brief: As a project manager with business responsibility, you will build Anfra’s electrical business and manage your projects from identifying a commercial opportunity through successful project delivery. You have strong electrical power engineering expertise and experience managing demanding electrical projects, particularly at high-voltage level. S1 qualification is an advantage. You combine technical and production expertise with commercial thinking and are prepared to take genuine profit responsibility. The fixed monthly salary for employment is €6,000–€18,000, depending on your demonstrable track record, abilities and qualifications. In addition, a bonus model allows bonuses based on the margins of your own projects, with annual bonuses potentially reaching 3–4 times the fixed monthly salary.
