Seasonal Driver and Tour Guide

Xwander Nordic designs and delivers high-quality trips in Lapland for international guests. We are now looking for a driver and guide for the 2026–2027 winter season in Inari. The role has four parts: driving, guiding, events and shifts as Santa Claus. A guest’s day begins and ends in your vehicle. You will transport guests from the airport to their accommodation and to activities between Ivalo, Inari and Saariselkä. You will drive every day in darkness and freezing temperatures, and the journeys are long. You will also be responsible for the daily condition of the vehicles. At the destination, you will assist the guide: welcome the group, take care of the equipment and tell guests what will happen next. You will host events. Santa shifts are not given to just anyone, and the job is not simply putting on a costume. It is done for children and families. A brief encounter can stay in a child’s memory for a lifetime. What we expect from you - A category B driving licence and confident driving skills in winter conditions - Fluent English - The ability to stay calm in changing situations We consider these an advantage - Guiding experience or nature-guide training - Valid first-aid training - Experience working with children and families - An additional language: French, German, Spanish or Italian What we offer - Pay according to experience, under the programme services collective agreement - Your own room in a furnished shared staff apartment in Ivalo, free of charge - A vehicle, work clothes, a work phone and meals as part of activities - Training through Xwander Academy. Some courses provide a qualification awarded by an external organisation, which remains yours after the season - The possibility of returning for future seasons and progressing in your career - Full-time work. Regular working hours average 120 hours over three weeks. Under the averaging system, working hours in an individual three-week period may not exceed 144 hours
