Turun ensi- ja turvakoti ry is seeking a **Shelter Line Manager** for a permanent position to be responsible for the overall management of our shelter services. (Note: application period extended until 12.8.2026 at 15:00) Turun ensi- ja turvakoti ry provides statutory shelter services for adults and children who have experienced or are threatened by domestic violence. Shelter services are guided by legislation, international obligations, and national quality recommendations from the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare (THL), which coordinates the service. The person responsible for the shelter is a line manager with social worker qualifications. As the Shelter Line Manager, you are responsible for the service staff, quality of operations, safety, development, and effective functioning. Additionally, as a social worker, you are responsible for leading and developing the client work of your own service point and serve as both professional support for the workgroup and in direct client work. The position combines personnel management, operational development, and professional responsibility for statutory shelter services. You will operate as part of the association's management team and influence the development of both the shelter services and the organization as a whole. **Your key areas of responsibility are:** - Management of the overall shelter services and client work - Personnel supervision and supporting employee well-being - Organizing operations and resource management - Ensuring the quality, safety, and self-monitoring of operations - Knowledge-based management, reporting, and operational development - Cooperation with THL, authorities, wellbeing services counties, and other partners - Participation in the association's management and development work. **What we expect from you?** - Qualification as a licensed social worker according to the Act on Social Care Professionals - Experience in supervisory and management positions within the social sector - Ability to lead personnel, operations, and change - A development-oriented and responsible approach to work - Good cooperation, networking, and interaction skills We value experience in violence-related work, crisis work, shelter work, or other demanding social sector work, as well as insight into managing high-quality and effective services. **What we offer?** We offer you a meaningful management position where you can influence and develop the future of shelter services.
