Porvoo Water is a municipal enterprise responsible for the water supply of the City of Porvoo, employing 45 people. We serve over 50,000 residents and local businesses. We have approximately 11,000 customers. Our annual turnover is about 16.8 million euros, with an average annual investment level of 7-10 million euros. We maintain over 1,300 km of water and sewer pipes. We are renovating our network and building new water supply infrastructure to meet the needs of the developing and growing city of Porvoo. We produce potable water at groundwater and artificial groundwater plants. There are about 90 wastewater pumping stations in our network, and wastewater is treated at a central treatment plant as well as in small-scale treatment plants. We are seeking a Customer Service Engineer for a permanent position starting September 28, 2026, or by agreement. As a Customer Service Engineer, you will play a key role in interacting with our customers, partners, and authorities. You will handle water supply connection matters, provide water supply statements and connection services related to construction projects, and provide technical customer service. In this role, you will gain diverse insight into the operations of the water utility and participate in developing our services, operating methods, and digital solutions together with an expert work community. Your duties include water supply connection and customer service tasks, technical customer counseling, preparation of statements and contract matters, and participation in customer communication. Additionally, you will participate in the development of water supply information systems and various development and investment projects. After the orientation period, the Customer Service Engineer will participate in the water utility's on-call duty. You will work as part of a six-person customer service team. What do we expect from you? Success in the position requires a suitable university degree. The degree could be, for example, in environmental engineering, urban engineering, construction, energy and environment, water supply, or another field suitable for the task. We value a customer-oriented approach, good interaction skills, and a willingness to learn new things and develop operations together with the work community. We are looking for a person who takes initiative, enjoys collaborating with different people, and is interested in developing both their own expertise and water supply services. The position is equally suitable for an experienced professional as it is for someone at the beginning of their career or a recent graduate. Most important to us are motivation, ability to learn, and interest in the role. We value: - customer service and collaboration skills - the ability to manage customer entities and move them forward independently - interest in communication and operational development - experience with electronic information systems and the development of digital services. Our working languages are Finnish and Swedish. Good English language skills are considered an advantage. A Class B driver's license is essential. The terms of employment are determined in accordance with the official and collective agreement (TS) for technical personnel. The position-specific salary is €3,690/month. In addition, a possible professional supplement according to the Technical Agreement (3 years / 4% and 5 years / 8%) will be considered in the salary.
