Site Engineer

Site engineer for Terramare Oy: responsible for ensuring projects progress according to plans with high quality, safety and cost efficiency. Work mainly in coastal Finnish cities (starting in Helsinki's western harbor), but assignments may take you to Sweden, Norway or the Baltic states. The role is strongly site-oriented and requires willingness to travel, typically about 150-200 travel days per year. Terramare offers challenging marine and harbor construction projects, opportunities to work with specialized equipment and methods, and support from experienced marine construction professionals. Responsibilities include site documentation (quality, safety, environment, cost, meetings, measurements and subcontractor monitoring), supporting the site manager and supervisor, procurement preparation and follow-up, coordination with subcontractors, scheduling with the site manager, quality assurance and work following plans, collaboration with client, designers and other project stakeholders, ensuring site safety and implementing safety measures, preparing phase and site condition reports. Requirements include construction education (AMK engineer or construction foreman), prior site engineering experience, experience on demanding infrastructure projects (e.g., concrete works, pile-driving, excavation, earthworks), strong organizational and cost-control skills, fluent Finnish and English (Swedish a plus), strong IT skills and ability to adopt modern project management and documentation systems, adaptability and resilience in changing conditions, willingness to learn and develop, proactive safety and quality mindset, and ability to lead people and motivate others toward common goals.
