We are seeking an assistant for the Tampere area for SOS-Lapsikylä for a fixed-term contract at the Mummun ja vaarin tuvat located in Kaukajärvi, Peltolammi and Tesomalla. The assistant’s duties include practically implementing engagement activities together with a partner, shopping, and cooking. Mummun ja vaarin tupa is a low-threshold meeting place for families with children and volunteers. Activities take place on weekday evenings. In Tampere, the following times apply: Kaukajärvi Thursdays 16:30–19:00; Peltolampi every second Wednesday 16–19; Tesomalla Mondays 16:30–19:00. Work duties may include preparation and closing tasks, so working hours vary between 15:00–19:30. What we expect from you? A field-appropriate social-, youth- or education-sector education and experience working with families with children and supervising volunteers. The applicant is open-minded, self-driven, has good communication skills and can operate in a multicultural environment.
