We are seeking a Training Master for a permanent position. The employment relationship begins on 1.10.26 or as agreed. Central Finland Rescue Department offers you the opportunity to work in a meaningful and socially important role. The Training Master serves as the service manager of the training unit and is responsible for the overall development of the competence of the personnel of the Central Finland Rescue Department. Competence development is a strategic choice for the Central Finland Rescue Department, and we want to stand out from other employers through it. To ensure sufficient competence of rescue service personnel, several regulations and guidelines have been developed to define the competence requirements for safe rescue work. The key tasks of the Training Master are to monitor the implementation and content of the aforementioned exercises and to further develop the competence of all personnel to meet the challenges posed by the work. The work involves extensive cooperation with various stakeholders. You will work closely with regional fire chiefs, chief instructors, and persons responsible for the competence development of permanent staff and contractual fire brigades. Your key partners will also include the sectors of the Central Finland wellbeing services county and other regional cooperation parties. Your duties include: - preparing and developing the general plan for personnel training - coordinating the mapping of exercise areas - enabling the time management of paramedic trainers - leading the training team - acting as an expert in the rescue team - developing the exercise infrastructure of the Central Finland Rescue Department - serving as the primary user of Koulumaali and developing the system - preparing, updating, and managing training agreements with cooperation partners - supporting the work of chief instructors and developing operations - coordinating competence development across the entire region and ensuring the uniformity of training As a qualification requirement for the position, a suitable higher education degree or a previous college-level degree and knowledge of the service unit's services are required. We expect knowledge of rescue service operations and work experience at a rescue department. We value good interaction, presentation, and negotiation skills, the ability to lead, organize, and develop operations, as well as previous supervisory experience. Success in the position requires an independent and development-oriented approach to work, strong decision-making ability, and the ability to operate in a changing operating environment. In decision-making, you utilize researched information, know how to apply it to practical operations, and act in accordance with good administrative practice. The terms of the employment relationship are determined according to the general employment and official contract of the wellbeing services county (HYVTES), technical field, appendix 7. A probationary period applies to the position. The person selected for the position must present a health certificate. A personnel security clearance will be conducted for the selected person with their consent in accordance with the Security Clearance Act (726/2014). The work requires an official ID card, to obtain which the official must have a valid official identity document (passport or identity card).
