Early Childhood Special Education Teacher (Hintsankujan Daycare)

We are seeking a special education teacher for the Pelttarinkatu unit to strengthen the pedagogical expertise of our daycare. The job starts as soon as possible according to the contract. As a special education teacher, you contribute to the support process in its various phases and collaborate with staff in the groups in parallel and joint teaching formats. You participate in supporting the pedagogical leadership of the daycare. You will be part of the daycare’s leadership team, which includes the daycare director and deputy director. An advisory regional special education teacher supports your work. Your duties include collaboration with different stakeholders and active interaction with guardians. Our operations are guided by a warm, positive and respectful attitude toward the child. We recognise children’s strengths and use them as the basis for planning and implementation. We hope you will put your skills to use in supporting children's learning, development and wellbeing. Eligibility is defined by the Vocational Education Act (540/2018) section 30. The person selected for the position must provide a police clearance (as required by the Act on background checks for those working with children). A trial period applies to the employment relationship.
